Eating pussy is vegan as long as the person whose pussy you're eating has consented. Veganism is more focused on ethics than a true distinction between what is considered an "animal product". As a vegan, should you come across an unfertilized egg that was abandoned by a chicken that didn't live in captivity you could eat it. I've never heard instances of it, but fairly certain that if a vegan came across the carcass of an animal that had died a natural death they could eat it. Most probably would opt not to though.

It's not a justification for me to kill, or contribute to killing. Animals are being bred to be slaughtered, so if there was no demand for it, there would be no meat to be wasted in the first place.

I was at that phase when I justified it with the humane and local part.
Look, I grew up around a farm and went to pig slaughters since I was like 6. Even about two years ago I'd bring lots of meat products from home, that I knew were kept and slaughtered by family members and from people and places I knew. The last meat dish I ever ate was deer that my friend hunted.

At the end of the day, there's no reason to kill an animal other than taste preference, which is essentially just a form of entertainment.

I wouldn't kill a dog, a cat or any other animal for no reason, so it doesn't make sense for me to do it to other animals, when the difference is only down to perception. While they don't all have the same abilities and intelligence, the way they sense the world around them, feel, fear and suffer is the same.

You could really justify any sort of violence or ill-doing with the same logic, that nothing really matters and everything dies anyways.

Nature doesn't give a fuck about what we do.
And animal farming is part of our nature, it's how we adapted to our environment. Because it is much more efficient than hunting and increases our chances of survival.
Just like the lion rips his prey apart, we have realised the merits of captivating certain animals for food, to carry out certain tasks or to accompany us.
I don't recommend applying this to intersocial behaviour, but when it comes to survival, might makes right.

What are you cooking the veggies, grains, and legumes in? Piss?

I could eat vegan for maybe a week but cooking is no longer a joy when you're vegan. Before anyone goes "NUH UHHH TRY THIS RECIPE XD", nah. I've cooked for vegans. Outside of roasting vegetables the fun and artistry of cooking is muted.

Most vegans I know don't know how to even boil water let alone cook for themselves. Most even are vegan to hide behind the fact they had a bad experience with food poisoning and think being vegan will keep them from getting sick (it won't) or they have an eating disorder and other mental issues and use their diet to mask it.

Oh and before anyone tries to put words in my mouth, no. I don't care about animals. I don't care about animals just about as much as a vegan doesn't care about Mexican drug cartels running the avocado industry or Chinese chillens putting together their iPhones.

>Why are you upset that people can enjoy the same tastes as you

Because we know that those people are either lying to us and/or to themselves and we are calling out BS when we hear it.

It doesn't bother me that some people choose not to eat meat. But once they start to make silly claims like "it tastes the same" , "it's just as nutritious", or "it's better for the enviornment" then I don't hesitate to call BS.

I agree 100% that the average westerner eats an unhealthy amount of meat. And that the modern factory farming industry is wasteful and enviornmentally harmful. But proposing a "no meat" solution is swinging the pendulum too far the opposite direction. The healthiest and most enviornmentally friendly diet is a locally sourced LOW meat diet. Not a "no" meat one. And certainly not a no-meat diet that depends on overuse of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, and smoke-belching transportation of produce from long distances away.

The old-fashioned small farm diet is by far the best. The synergy is incredible: you eat mostly crops. The inedible (to humans) part of the crops get fed to animals, whose meat, eggs, and milk you consume sparingly. The animal's waste is the fertilizer for your crops; the animals themselves can reduce the need for pesticides and even do "work" on the farm. (i.e. chickens eat the insect pests from the vegetables, and do a great job prepping fields by eating weed seeds & tilling the ground for new planting while they scratch & dig for bugs) It doesn't get any healthier or enviornentally friendly than that.

BTW, modern monculture farming is just as bad for the enviornment as the factory meat industry is. Nowadays, the enviornmentally friendly practicies of crop rotation or letting fields lie fallow exist only in small scale farms. Supermarket produce depends on a massive amount of industrial chemical production.
"Organic" is no better--it still uses chemical pesticides and fertilizers, just different ones. GMO crops can be grown with fewer pesticides and herbicides, but they are still used.

A side effect of all this is that our meat and our crops don't taste very good either. Everything is bred for maximum growth and yield, and durability during shipping. Flavor is a 2nd tier concern, if it's a concern at all.

Seems like a good place to ask. My friend said factory livestock is fed grain that isn't suitable for human consumption. I worked as a produce wagey for a while and was under the impression that livestock ate what the farmers initially deemed not up to standard to ship to stores/markets/retaurants. Other people have told me crop is literally grown just for livestock. Is it both?

>> No.10437120

>>10437095
It honestly depends. Feedcorn and hay are grown as specialized high-yield crops to provide biomass to livestock. Sometimes if a farmer has a bum year due to odd weather, a drought, or other issues, they will sell the subpar crops (typically corn) as feed. This functions as a kind of insurance against partial crop failure. The sold crops are edible, but not up to the discerning standards of American consumers. There are exceptions, such as pigs being fed spoiled food; such exceptions are still rare in commercial-scale operations, however.

That's not what that indicates. It indicates that it is harder to be a vegan so they need to do more research about what they can and can't eat. Vegetarians can just ask "hey is there meat in this" vegans have to ask that and also "is there butter, milk, worchester sauce, honey, eggs, something a pig once touched..."
That's a retarded article

That looks so terrible, is that truly a Micheline star restaurant? Uncooked toast, a parmesan crisp, raw lettuce, and some sauces - arranged awkwardly with no clear way to eat these things together. Do you use your hands? Do you individually break off pieces of parmesan and bread to eat with a fucking huge piece of lettuce? Why are these things on a plate together. Fucking hell.

I know this feel. I saw pic related on clearance while shopping a few days ago, tried it last night and it was actually really good. All the meat substitutes that use a vital wheat gluten and tofu blend have a really satisfying texture to chew. It definitely doesn't taste like meat but it's still enjoyable every once in a while.

As for OP, I'm neither vegan nor vegetarian but if you can't manage to make good food without relying on meat, eggs or dairy then you're a shit cook.

Meat substitutes would be fine if it wasn't for the soy monoculture it promotes, which is shit for the environment and for human health. I love vegetarian food but there's a whole world of high-protein grains and legumes out there that can be put together in a huge number of combinations with different vegetables. In addition to being more interesting, it promotes better agricultural practices.

That being said, I'll never give up homemade chicken stock because it adds a certain mouthfeel to soups that can't be replicated.

I knew 3 vegetarian kids in my school when growing up. A boy who was raised vegetarian, normal but quiet, liked football, never mentioned it after that first conversation. A girl who was raised vegetarian, hippy parents, wore ribbons in her hair, has her nose pierced in year 5, but honestly never really talked about it.

Then... we have the landwhale ugly glasses bitch who decided to be vegetarian when she was 12. A disgusting unhygienic slob who, despite having no friends was a rude cunt to anyone who was nice to her.

I strongly suspect vegans evolved from proto-vegetarian landwhales.

Anyone remember maybe 10-15 years ago when veganism wasn't that much of a thing? At least in Europe it wasn't. And the discussion, if there was any, was about the different kind of vegetarian diets and that you don't have to commit to meatless diets. That there are vegetarians who still eat fish. Others eat light meat like turkey and chicken. In merely about 10 years this completely vanished aside from some fat girls who say they are vegetarians but still eat some meat, and girls who are would be vegan but are vegetarian because there isn't enough vegan restaurants in the city.
I think the vegetarians were overwhelmed by the vegans' militant nature and their shrieking on social media as a vegetarian actually has the same views but are less extreme.

I think a lot of "vegetarians" don't want to call themselves that anymore. I briefly knew a fitness trainer, very buff woman, who was mostly vegetarian, but would eat quality meats or other animal products in small amounts from time to time. She stopped associating with vegetarians as they starting going increasingly nuts.

This has zero environmental impact. You produce more CO2 driving to the nearest Whole Foods to get your Local Vegetables than is produced in the entire production chain, shipping included, when I walk down to my grocer to buy asparagus from Vietnam.

Local Food is interesting from a couple of different perspectives but it is definitely not environmentally better.
