Wisconsin makes most of America's best cheese, some really excellent examples. It also makes most of America's cheap, pizza grade cheese.
Most of the Kraft fake cheese comes from California though, as super cheap, low quality milk is more readily available there

No other state has even close to as many top tier cheese producers as Wisconsin. I don't even know what other state could plausibly be considered competitive. Vermont and Upstate New York make some good cheddar but they don't have nearly the breadth of quality styles and producers. Other states have plenty of scattered good cheesemakers but non really have much of a high tier cheese industry

Have you ever seen a product label or ad which says "unpasteurized tastes better"?

Nobody is going around making that claim in ads to market things to you. It's an observation made by people who have tried both.

I agree that "unpleasant" is a bit of hyperbole and I'm sure that will trigger the pedantic 'spergs, but having compared the two myself I find the unpastuerized is nearly always tastier. I've never seen an ad try and tell me that though.

What are you even talking about? Assuming you are the same one guy that says WIDF anytime anyone says anything not negative about Wisconsin you pretty clearly imply you are from the northeast or midatlantic that for some reason has a boner for California none the less. >"if you don't think Spotted Cows are literally the best thing EVER
This is how I know you don't know what you are talking about.
Its Chicago and Minnesota people that think Spotted Cow is the best thing ever because they cannot have it. People actually from Wisconsin that drink beer will almost always say that Spotted Cow is ok, but not even one of New Glarus's best beers. Within Wisconsin Spotted cow is more the base tier generally agreeable and affordable beer that will please people who don't drink much beer and still be ok with people who like beer.
