>seated instantly
>asked if I know what I want to drink or if I need a second
>get drink fast asked if I need a few to look over the menu
>set menu down minute or so later asked about order, even refill without asking
>meal comes out promptly 10 or so minutes later, nice and hot
>waiter asks me if everything is okay, tops off my glass
>comes back to check make sure everything is right and tasting okay
>finish meal asks me if I want anything else, drops off the check says pay when I am ready
>bill cheaper than back in UK, even with the tip still a bit cheaper for the amount had

So this is the power of tipping....

I went to Medieval Times and I had a great time until I figured out the janitor fucking hustled me. He told me there was a betting pool going and that the green knight was the best choice but goddamnit he lied that motherfucker lost in the first round and the blue knight won. I never got my $200 back no matter how many times I contacted the manager and corporate. It's fucking bullshit.

The food was very good though. Better than anything you can make at home

>>meal comes out promptly 10 or so minutes later,

This is because the food came pre-made off of a Sysco truck and the restaurant staff just heat it up in a microwave before giving it to you. You spent restaurant meal money to eat a microwave meal.

I'm a waiter and there have been times when I'll clock off and regular customers ask me to sit and chat with them or have a beer, I've done it a few times, even had a thumb war with this girl with her friends after work.

Sometimes it's not even regular customers. I've been invited to sit at tables with people I've never met before and they tip fucking generously at the end of their meal too.

I've only ever been to Tournament of Kings at the Excalibur. How does it compare to Medieval Times?

>> No.10612497

>>10612474
Medieval Times has the best food money can buy, but that's only if you can stomach all of the carnage. It's basically a grittier, more realistic version of ToKatE and they use real metal weapons and fake blood. I saw the red knight get impaled through his leg with a lance and they had to take him to the hospital

I bus my own food and fill my own drinks at home. Why should they even get a penny for what amounts to a minor task rather than actual work?

when I went we saw the king and princess and shit walking around before the show and I shouted out the king looks like theoden(he really did), and he fucking turns to me and asks who that is and I say from lord of the rings and says "ah the imposter", just thought I'd share this cringe memory

also during the show he was saying a list of like birthdays or some shit like special applause to...and one of them was to X for finishing all his chemotherepy and the crowd fucking lost their shit, really bizarre hearing that from a medieval king

As long as it's not excessive, foam around the mouth can actually mean the horse is enjoying itself and into the activity. Kind of like someone going open or slack jawed watching TV, playing videogames or sports.
