I won't deny these aren't the most flavorful. Buds I still keep in touch with back in the Motherland asked if they sold this in the US (they like watching foreigners try spicy shit) so I bought them and tried them.

I usually add a fried egg on top and some chopped scallions, nothing fancy. The only weirdish thing I do with Shin ramen is adding lime, sliced red chili peppers and cilantro, w a whisked egg, served w a bowl of medium grain rice. The chilantro and lime give it a very....latin flavor. I like it.

Instant ramen is traditionally fried to introduce air bubbles so it cooks faster. Companies like 풀무원 (Pulmuone) go for the healthy food demographic and make air-dried noodles, and as a result, have slightly healthier ingredients.

Making shit from scratch is always your best bet for flavor/healthiness since you have full control over the ingredients, but typically non-domestically produced Korean noodles in general have mandatory country-of-origin laws where all ingredients come with where it's from, and they usually are MSG/artificial food coloring free. Tighter regulations were a result of a lot of incidents with imported goods during industrialization and people not wanting to get fucked from eating shitty chinese factory foods.

Idk if you can get it stateside, but there's a Pulmuone ramen called '꽃게짬뽕' (blue-crab spicy seafood noodles). It's p good.
