every time you see a journalist crying on TV about trump treating them like they are the enemy of the people.

Just remember there are millions of delusional families that tell their young kids the world is going to fucking end because hillary didnt win and drumpf cheeto hitler is going to start ww3 but not really because he is compromised by putin but still will cause ww3 or start fascism

People should just unironically start popping off journalists until they get the hint and they start just objectively reporting the news

>> No.10854300

>>10854294
For sure. I have nothing but hatred for the journalists/directed media apparatus, and most complexes of government. It just makes me sad that so many people end up in life-long disease matrixes like cattle. A lot of them are probably pretty sweet and pleasant, and I don't like to think about people being disappointed in how their lives turned out.

>> No.10854315

>>10854300
there is a white liberal family in my neighborhood that not only flew the american flag upside down when trump won. But whenever some immigrant shit would pop up on the news they would actually fly the mexican flag.

I really hate to say it but we might actually be heading for a civil war. Not the kind that destroys countries and kills millions. But the kind that lasts a few weeks and completely re-arranges power in society to the sane and rational.

I used to get really gassed up when watching fox news in the background while working at the computer. And I got really into the media cycle. It actually made me sick and I just stop watching it and instantly felt better

24/7 news should be banned and news networks should have 4 seperate hour long blocks during the day to cover the news. Morning news at 5-6am. Noon news. Prime time news. And late news.

Exceptions given to major events where they can continue coverage outside of said blocks

>> No.10854322

>>10854315
Thats about how I feel now when I listen to NPR. I used to enjoy in the early morning going to work, but I cannot stand it anymore. Eventually the U.S. will collapse. I just do not know when.

>> No.10854331

>>10854315
Really, the only news that could arguably need to run constantly in the middle of the day in a regular sense is business news. The markets are all open, and there's enough going on that they have material to do stories on without getting stale.

The stuff the 24/7 channels focus on? Most of the time that's crap. Only in the peak moments of election season and during special events warrant major coverage.

That sounds nice and all but you are liberal scum if you think the solution is government regulation of the media. Go fuck off to Europe if you can't handle the first amendment.

I spent a lot of time on /pol/ over several years, and although I learned some very important things, and I don't regret my time researching, there was a point where stepping away was the best thing I could do. It's like imbibing a clarity poison. You learn to see, but what you see is poisonous. Eventually you should understand that much of what you've been led to see was designed to distract you from your genuinely higher calling, which is the development of the self. I don't disagree with your conclusions, but I would strongly recommend departing, as it can no longer serve a beneficial purpose for you.

>government regulation of the media

so like....

you know that your parents grew up without 24/7 news and 3 television stations right?

The idea that the media should be allowed to bombard the public with hysterical hyper partisan opinion garbage is unethical to say the least

I would absolutely slap the fuck out of the media and it would be constitutional as fuck because "free and FAIR media" is in the language.

Media has never been held accountable for the FAIR part only the "free to gaslight the public" part

Constant news is an issue, good point anon. You can only listen to the same fact spun 200 different ways before you can't even recognize fact. I've cut out a huge portion of what I would watch/follow. I occasionally watch local news, but I've also set up a Twitter that follows all local news and news related interests. I can mute words/phrases to avoid the bullshit. So now I get legit news and nothing more. And it feels great cutting out forced agendas and just getting what I want to see.

Libertarians were a mistake. I hate to break this to you, but the general population is very dumb. If left to their own devices they will believe whatever they here, and they will eat themselves to death on horrible food. Certain things should be regulated for the good of the people.

Are you high? What are you even talking about, "free and fair"? You realize "unethical" isn't a legal term, right? Just stop now because you're embrassing yourself. It's clear you have no formal education nor a proper understanding of the constitution. Maybe you should've smoked less weed in high school and paid attention in civics.

I think the picture you posted Is a good example of how the media manipulates the populace into associating a fringe republican party candidate with being national socialist. I think the two party dictatorship we have in the U.S. has resorted to nothing more than name calling rhetoric to get under the skin of the people. If you look on various forums on this website you will see people even associating antifa with liberals, while antifa has nothing to do with liberalism, but more or less socialist libertarianism. This website is really fucking ridiculous.

Is "free and fair press" in the constitution or not?

Why did you move the legal terminology goalposts to "unethical"?

BTW there is precedent for what im talking about. It has simply not been applied in a long time. see the equal time rule for radio.

Yes, this is a real danger. It's why you need to connect spiritually, and follow your deepest intuition. Disinfo is real, and it's effective. Many "conspiracies" are designed by very intelligent people to turn inquiring minds into mush.

Ultimately you don't need to follow too many rabbit holes. You simple need to learn not to trust the majority of information, and to reject what society is adamantly telling you to be good. Reading good books as opposed to 15 your youtube binges will also help.

Like I said, focus on yourself. The true struggle is there, though you may need to initially look outward to realise this.
