The vegan diet depends on a lot of processed supplements in order for it to be viable. Add to that a lot of "meat-looking" vegan products and you have a crowd that can't live without a whole industry to support it.

None of those are true though.

For many vital nutrients animal sources are more available. As for ecological effects, there's nothing environmentally friendly about a diet that depends on a massive fleet of smoke-belching trucks and ships to bring you food out of season. A local diet which contains meat is far more eco friendly than a vegan one. As for ethics, there's no escaping the animal murder game, even for vegans. Pic very related.
