I don't know what the right way to do it is, but I love food so much, I found healthy(relatively)things and just started eating Mon-Sat. I either eat a salad, baked chicken with veggies/rice, or soup and a sandwich. Sometimes I'll just take cauliflower and broccoli and drizzle olive oil on it with some spices and bake it for a while. Sun I eat whatever. A burger. A steak.

I weighed 257 when I started all this and I'm not at 185. My goal is 175(My previous weight)

Oh, and I cut out soda.

No, you're not a "picky eater". You probably grew up with parents that fed you pizza and hotdogs every night with a side of potato chips and therefore your palate has never developed beyond that.

>> No.10960847

>>10960818
So for you, it was never about quantity, it was about the kind of foods you eat? Do you still feel hungry or unsatiated after eating Mon-Sat?

Eat less, move around more.
The method isn't some secret.

Also, depending on how long you've been fat, your metabolism is likely utterly fucked and you will NEVER be a healthy weight unless you stick to like, a 1600 calorie diet, or exercise 4-6 days a week for 2 hours to keep your metabolism up.

Oh, also, all that exercise will make you hungry as fuck, so get used to drinking water with little sodium bicarbonate about 1 hour before a workout. It will make you gassy and burpy, but it will also trigger a "full" stomach feeling and neutralize stomach acid.

Oh, yeah, your body is going to feel like complete shit for the first 2 months. Expect indigestion on a regular basis, constant gnawing hunger, and incredible fatigue.
Have fun with that.

Next time, don't get so fat.
If you ever need to buy bigger clothes past the age of 24, go on a diet.

Palate doesn't really have anything to do with quality, and especially quantity. Quite a bit of "healthy" food isn't really that complex in terms of flavor.

Nah, it was about portion control as well. Even eating what I currently eat Mon-Sat, you can eat too much of it. Since you said you're picky, I won't lie, it's going to be a lot harder for you to lose weight. For an average male it's something like 2000 calories a day to lose a pound a week. So you could still eat bad foods and lose weight if you watch the calorie intake I suppose, but again, portion control is a problem. You eat something bad for you but only a little and then you're left feeling hungry. You need to learn to start liking things like vegetables. My roommate can't even eat a piece of steamed broccoli without looking like he's going to collapse in himself like a dying star. You have to want to lose weight bad enough to just say FUCK IT and make some life changes, friendo.

Seriously, just do keto.

The plus side is you can eat bacon and steak every single day.

The only downside is you need to eat bacon and steak every single day.

Seriously, I lost 40 lbs in 2 months on keto.

Also: terrible constipation or diarrhea.
If you eat like a bear the way I used to, you're used to taking massive footlong logs, sometimes twice a day.
When you stop eating carbs, especially bread, your shit gets much smaller.

Don't listen to this idiot, OP. It is impossible for your metabolism to be "fucked" in some vague sense. Your basal metabolic rate is mostly a function of your weight. If you stick to a 1600 kcal diet forever you are going to be quite underweight unless you're 5 feet. Just eat less and move more, perhaps do some weight training. You're gonna make it.

What were the last three meals you ate, for research.
>breakfast, 2 cups of black coffee, csn of carbonated water. ONE Slice of ham lunchmeat, thin.
>Dinner yesterday: half pound of salmon with about a shot glass of lemon butter, boiled frozen brussels sprouts, sauteed portobello caps with a bit of dark soy sauce, water.
>Lunch today, pulled beef, 2 slices provolone, smallish hoagie roll, au jus, water.

Not some skeletor, just been putting on weight lately so I'm taking it off again. I usually eat like this though, just a bit more of the same.
Have 3.5lbs of bone in chicken thighs that are gonna go bad if I don't use em. Thinking mojo marinade, and some jerk chicken.

I have up things that has wheat as the majority ingredient, which turned out to be almost everything that makes you fat.

However, I didn't give up sugar, though I limit my intake. No soda, but I didn't limit anything else.

One of my favorite things to get is a subway salad. It's basically the sandwich, just without the bread. I've lost 18 lbs. I'd probably lose more if I stopped eating so much chocolate.

Problem is the potatoes themselves are pretty dense in calories and starches regardless of how you cook them. You can certainly cut down on the fat content by lightly brushing the potato slices with olive oil and baking them on a cookie sheet with some simple spices. it won't fully match the deep fried kind, but it will cut down on a lot of fat and extra calories
