I don't think we have any chain slice joints here. In Chicago they have well-known restaurant chains that do deep dish like Lou's Giordano's, Uno's, and Gino's. In NYC we mostly just have individual places that would be too small to sponsor some kinda flavor with Lay's or whatever. Grimaldi's might try to change that, though.
9 times out of 10 I prefer a regular NY-style slice, but like once a year I have a hankering for some deep dish. I don't give a single fuck about their shitty tavern pizza that they love to bring up.

Because New York style pizza is actually relevant enough to exist in places outside of potato-chip form. "Chicago style" is so lame that the only way to promote it is to have a popular snack food brand make it into a flavor that nobody will ever actually buy.

Because just like everything else in new york, it is highly overrated. Also no one who's eaten both would say ny is better
