So let me ask you this New York. Why isn't there a chip flavored like your "pizza"?

I don't think we have any chain slice joints here. In Chicago they have well-known restaurant chains that do deep dish like Lou's Giordano's, Uno's, and Gino's. In NYC we mostly just have individual places that would be too small to sponsor some kinda flavor with Lay's or whatever. Grimaldi's might try to change that, though.
9 times out of 10 I prefer a regular NY-style slice, but like once a year I have a hankering for some deep dish. I don't give a single fuck about their shitty tavern pizza that they love to bring up.

Grimaldis isn't even New York style pizza you fucking flyover piece of shit. interesting how you can magically name a bunch of chains once you get called out.
keep pretending to live in the biggest shithole in the country because you're embarrassed to be a flyover.

I live uptown, chumpo. Grimaldi's is in Brooklyn and the family had that big falling out over the name, but the original shit is from the city.

They sell regular old-school Brooklyn-style pies. Not the to-go counter slice shit that you get everywhere else.

>>10991430
Ask an Italian if they think that's "Italian" and get back to me.

what italians think doesn't matter, because they're born to be contrary. they could be blindfolded, have a dish made by their grandmother, that she made in her house she's lived in her whole life, and would find shit to bitch about and start comparing it to their nonnas and why it's not as good.

I hate Italians talking about food too, it's always obnoxious as fuck. I just don't agree with the assertion that Grimaldi's is not New York style.

Because New York style pizza is actually relevant enough to exist in places outside of potato-chip form. "Chicago style" is so lame that the only way to promote it is to have a popular snack food brand make it into a flavor that nobody will ever actually buy.

Because just like everything else in new york, it is highly overrated. Also no one who's eaten both would say ny is better

NY is universally preferred...there’s a reason that Chicago style is literally only commonly eaten in one city in the entire world, and it ain’t cause it’s better
