It's not the same, but I also don't buy at all that the geese somehow enjoy getting force-fed. If that were really the case then you shouldn't even need to stick a tube down their throats because they'd just enjoy the food so much that they'd eat the same amount voluntarily.
There's also been documented evidence of serious bodily harm caused by this practice e.g. their esophagi getting so distended that they're almost transparent, or fatal hemorrhaging from enlarged livers.

Honestly even if geese are retarded as fuck I still think it'd be preferable to make them comfortable and let them eat voluntarily at their own pace. Maybe being intelligent makes suffering more of an issue than being retarded would, but I can't really say I know that for sure. And I'd rather humanely kill an animal it turns out doesn't really have a capacity for suffering somehow than I would want to inhumanely torture an animal who does have a capacity for suffering.

This is a good post. There's nothing wrong with eating meat, it's the natural order. But wild animals, even ones that toy with their prey, don't confine their prey to cages and force them into an endless breed/feed/slaughter cycle. We're already eating them, fine. But we shouldn't be mistreating them while we do it. Let them roam free, give them a quick death. Free range/grass fed has a stronger taste anyways, cruelty-free tastes better. Everyone wins.

Maybe we were just dropped here to fuck around with by some other unknown creature, it's all good, but no need to undermine or underestimate anything else that's living around us.

the fact is factory farming is going to happen no matter how many vegans wanna switch 'teams' and try to lessen the damage. Humans will continue to fuck and populate without care calling for more and more meat. And until a miracle (maybe lab grown meat does manage to get mass produced with incredible efficiency or something.) happens the cycle WILL continue. Humans love the path of least resistance and will keep propping up these mass animal production farms.
So yeah visual feel bads equaling animals to humans is retarded. We are nature for better or worse.

Shut the fuck up you fucking faggot. Geese are the toughest animals that you can experience in a city with the only exception being cities in the Arctic circle where Polar Bears sometimes intrude. And even then, Geese will often fight the Bears away from 'their territory'.

Geese are fighting machines well adapted to life among humans. Think about it - Geese have evolved in canals and public parks. Canals and parks are often the most dangerous places in cities because they are dark at night. People get raped, mugged and killed in parks all the time. When was the last time a Goose was raped and killed in a public park or along a canal? Never, because Geese are stronger than pretty much any human they encounter.

And yes. Geese wings are like batons. Worse in fact because Batons cannot fly away after destroying you and leaving you for dead. Geese can also spread deadly bird rabies as well as other tropical diseases, such as Duckworm, Foie Gras Fever, Feathered Chlamydia, Pond Plague, Tinned Goose Botulism, Whooping Honk and many more. Many people die to these diseases every year because of the birds KNOWING they can kill humans they dislike.

Geese own cities. Pigeons are forced out of Goose habitats because they cannot compete, and neither can humans. I'd rather be savaged by a pitbull than a Goose, easily.
