Man I love broccoli. Can't get enough. They even contain estrogen-blockers to keep me from becoming a woman.

What are the best broccoli dishes?

important: use fresh broccoli, and don't overcook it.

i don't mind frozen and cooked-to-hell soggy broccoli, but it's 10x better in fresh form.

The broccoli salad from good eats always looked great. Never tried it but maybe I will now that you reminded me of it.

Roasted. Halfway through brush with a little sauce made from melted butter, dijon mustard, montreal steak seasoning, and worcestershire. You don't need much. About a tablespoon per head will do ya.

for any stir fry dish at home, it's a lot better if you blanche it and then shock it in an ice bath, and then add to your dish/sauce

I do a simple steamed broccoli with crispy shallots ( store bought from any asian super market) and a home made cheddar sauce ( it's just cheddar cheese melted in cream). It's super easy and delicious.

Broccoli sprouts have sulforaphane which the internet told me will make me live forever.

>1 x head of broccoli
>1 x head of cauliflower
>cut both into florets
>place both into a roasting tray and generously season with sea salt flakes (don’t use cheap shit) and fresh cracked black pepper. Also a couple of teaspoons of good quality smoked paprika.
>drizzle with olive oil (not virgin as it will burn and is too strong tasting).
>mix it all up with your hands until everything is coated
>place in oven at 190 c for 20 mins or until you can put a fork easily through the cauliflower. The broccoli will still have some bite but it’s god tier like that.
Try this OP and see what you think . It’s delicious . Roasting the cauliflower really brings out a sweetness that would be lost in most other cooking methods. The smoked paprika adds a really nice ,not overpowering, background flavour and mellow warmth. The broccoli will be delicious and healthy with all the nutrients still there .

I like pasta with chicken, broccoli and herbal cheese. I stir fry the broccoli and add some lemon juice, then I add chicken with salt, pepper and garlic powder. When it's done I throw it in a pan with pasta and add the cheese. It's really good.

If there was ever such a thing as a “super food,” broccoli sprouts would be it. Truly food of the gods, and you can grow it on your fucking kitchen counter.

don't even need salt most of the time, steamed Broccoli has a great subtle taste to it and a fantastic texture when prepared properly

Nothing to do with portion control and everything to do with completely destroying every ingredient on that plate. May as well just blitz the whole lot in a blender and drink it .

>> No.11071724

I fry it in butter. Can add salt/pepper or garlic, but it's great on its own.
