I tried it a few months ago. Surprisingly fucking good for mall food. Totally right about the price and portions too. I don't know why you'd stop going there just because it's in a mall but whatever. The mall mine is in is still doing fairly well.

That said I wish malls would make a comeback, the closest mall has been on life support hardcore for about 10 years now and it's so fucking depressing. It used to be the place everyone went to for everything. Theater, arcade, pretty much any kind of store or restaurant you wanted. Now it's got a dying Sears, a ReStore, and our town's 200th fucking Mexican restaurant. Just a god damn shame.

I know of 2 of them that opened up by me as strip mall restaurants right next to Chipotles.

And yes, it's pretty good. I always get the chicken teriyaki and brown rice. I like how their teriyaki sauce isn't cloyingly sweet like other mall food court "asian food." Liked the fried dumplings too when I tried them.

Sarku japan has the best teriyaki chicken out of every place Ive ever been. I spent many hours searching for the perfect recipe to duplicate it. I remember reading a post by a guy who worked there but they were required to sign an NDA and couldnt disclose the full ingredients. The secret is their special broth. He said its impossible to duplicate at home but that using chicken broth with ginger and green onion would be close as you can get.

This. I live less than 10 miles from the King of Prussia mall and that shit is thriving as always. Don't even try to go there before Christmas either. It's right along the main highway into Philadelphia and still causes backups.
