Because they're overtly marketed to high-schoolers and lightweight women, which makes people reluctant to associate with them, both because of the social implication and the availability of much higher-quality alcohol.
A Mike's Hard or even Smirnoff Ice at the beach or pool is pretty good though

oh right they killed their brain cells with booze

An actual example of toxic masculinity. But these people will happily take a sweet as fuck cocktail and chug it down, so ignore it. I think it's more a matter of "there are better and tastier ways to get drunk", and I'm sure those Mike's will give you diabetes as opposed to making something like a Tom Collins.

>as if liking flavored booze will then make me want non flavored booze...?
I haven't drank in years, but I don't get why you think that doesn't make sense. Alcoholic drinks are a substance with calories and flavor that you consume like any other food or drink, but they have an additional function as a drug. If you're already drinking regularly then you're used to the drug aspect and you acquire a familiarity for and liking of the drug aspect instead of immediately feeling repulsed by it. And if you not only feel repulsed by the alcohol itself but the flavor on top of that then you might not ever get to the point where you've acquired a taste for it. Flavored drinks like Mike's would let you get used to the drug that alcohol constitutes by slipping it into your system under the guise of lemonade. After drinking Mike's for a while you would then probably react better to other kinds of alcoholic drinks because your body would have that learned comfort level for alcohol as a drug.
It's the same deal as with cigarettes. A lot of people who had never tried cigarettes before find them disgusting when they're first exposed to it. But if you already have a habit of smoking then you've long since gotten used to it and not only do you not find them disgusting, you actually end up finding them really pleasant tasting / feeling. You could argue this isn't a good thing because alcohol and tobacco have so many health risks associated with them, but the point about how you can acquire a taste for something like alcohol by starting with a flavored drink isn't wrong.

It's about 20% ABV, so it's not exactly cost effective at getting you drunk. Tastes decent though. The cute girl at the liquor store says if you mix it 1:1 with fireball it tastes like cinnamon toast crunch, but that might be a sales tactic, as I haven't tried it yet. It's pretty unique though, I don't think there's much else that does that sort of flavor unless you're looking at liquor store eggnog.

If you wouldn't like liver even though you ate it every day that would just mean you weren't able to acquire a taste for liver. Nobody claimed you can or will necessarily acquire a taste for any food or drink in existence.

Something, not anything.
You're really bad at logic. On a basic level you don't seem to understand which conclusions follow from which antecedents, first with thinking acquiring a taste must mean the person just wants a drug and not a taste, then with the idea you might not acquire a taste for one particular item like liver being wrongly extrapolated into an argument against acquired taste existing for any other foods or drinks, and now with the claim that because an argument for acquired taste working with one particular item like alcohol was made that must mean an argument for acquired taste working with any foods or drinks in existence was made.

The etymology's Latin if that word's confusing you. "Ante-" means "before" (as in the ante before a hand of poker) and "-cedent" is a future tense third person plural for cedere meaning "to yield" (as in ceding the floor).

>first with thinking acquiring a taste must mean the person just wants a drug and not a taste
no thats not what i meant in any understanding
also the term acquired taste is widely known and understood as to using liver for my example the easiest form

if you don't like something you are not gonna acquire a taste for it and like it not even for booze
the person said you would if you eat/drink something enough
if somehow i liked the taste of flavored booze how would that make me like non flavored booze? the persons only argument is that i should only be drinking it for the effects it gives not the flavor...

Tastes like liquid rice pudding with cinnamon on top. If you're into that, go right ahead. Girls seem to like it because it's sweet and doesn't really taste like booze since it's such a low ABV.

Not quite, but once you hit $20 for a liter the differences are negligible. Cheaper than that has noticeably worse filtering, drinking an ounce of properly made vodka at room temperature will be a fairly neutral experience. If it's bad, you'll know.

English is a wonderfully ambiguous language, you still knew what I meant. It's not like chugging a glass of ice water after a summer run, but as far as alcohol goes it's tame if it's been properly filtered and isn't too high-proof.
