Shit tea tastes like shit. But americans can't seem to enjoy raw products anymore: tea has to be a mocha frappuccino, coffee has to at least have pumpkin spice in it.

My advice: cut that crap. Buy some decent tea and learn to appreciate it for its actual taste.

>> No.11135960

>>11133686
Depends on the tea. Good tea is usually better on its own, but milk and sugar can make shitty tea a bit less shitty.

A little sugar is fine, milk is not necessary, and only makes it sickening.

YOU'RE BREWING IT WRONG

why does everyone fuck up tea? it's so easy to make properly but they ruin it. Asian restaurants are 6the worst about it

Brits have the worst tea. They get some charred leaf dust that's sat in a poorly sealed tin in a warehouse for 3 years then boil the shit out of it. They fuck up their food too. tbqhf Brits should be globally banned from kitchens

thing that trigger me the most is the ''pop culture reference of what a mug of tea should be, with the label of the teabag staying on the mug all along''

you are supposed to remove it from the drink once it's infused, othewise, it's gonna taste like sweaty balls

Sorry mate, brits have no authority on tea. You guys don't even drink actual tea, but most of the time tea blends, made from the lowest grade of dusty tea fannings.

So yeah, for your fucking twinings or lipton earl grey, or tetley irish breakfast, put whatever you want inside, it might make it less worse.

If you buy any actual tea, please don't destroy its flavor.

just because brits claimed it doesn't mean they are good at it. Brits consistently do everything wrong but still want credit for doing it. Absolute worst Europeans

Do the Brit’s even grow tea?
Didn’t think they had the climate for it.

I'm French, dude (which might explain an irrational hatred of the brits...).

Tea was discovered/first used as a drink in China, something like 3000 years ago. The english tradition of tea is both very recent and very pleb. Some asian countries drink real tea: China (taiwan/tibet), Japan, Korea. I won't include India (where most brit tea comes from) in that, as their tea tradition is much more recent, and of fucking course includes infusing the tea in milk with tons of spices (like masala chai).

Can't grow tea in Europe, really. We don't have the humid climate that is required.

"British tea" comes mostly from India, and some scraps from China.

tea in bags is such garbage, even the expensive as shit $1/bag stuff is mediocre compared to a cheaper loose tea. Find yourself a place that sells leaves in bulk, brew for just 3 minutes, and marvel at the fact you ever drank something as abominable as Lipton.

Tea can taste good with milk or sugar but if I'm adding all that stuff I think I'd rather have chocolate milk. I'm no tea elitist, but I would never use nice teas for milk tea as it tramples over the more subtle flavors.

>> No.11137749

If you drink bagged shit, then yes.
But if you were to take your time and buy some actually good loose leaves, then you'd realize that it's completely unnecessary to have anything with tea besides water.
Drink good tea. Same as how a good stake doesn't need ketchup.
