What do you get on your publix subs anon? NEET here that gets the ultimate sub with whole grain bread, swiss cheese, and all vegetables including hot peppers on it every day. I useally go around 8pm-9:30pm. What other subs do you robots recommend?

Also the publix sub is the only thing that I eat in a day. It's a really good cheap healthy option that requires no effort. I spend 160 USD per month on food and never need to prepare it or spend a long time food shopping. Usually I buy 2 per trip to publix then just keep one in the refrigerator for the next day.

when y'all get your sub toasted is the bread usually TOO toasted? so far every time it's happened to me. Last time I went I swear to god quasimodo made my sandwich and literally chucked a spoonful of mayo into the cooling tray. Like straight up missed the container. Dude was not all there.

I don't know either of those. The only sub options in my city are Subway, Firehouse and Jersey Mikes.

sheetz is barely above 7-11 quality. Wawa is ok. Publix is ok if the employee isn't a neaderthal.

The crisp burritos are pretty good, but everything is wildly overpriced. I still can't wrap my mind around a chicken taco salad with guacamole costing ten bucks. It's tiny. Like the size of a baseball.

Hmm. I don’t remember any convenience store quality sandwich shops in Washington. Maybe if Safeway or Qfc did subs. 7/11 premade sandwiches.

Worked in the Publix Deli on Alafaya and East Coloniel in Orlando from 2012-2014. The one near UCF It got torn down and moved to east colonieal 408 exit. I think an academy sports is now where the old one used to be.

Anyway when a coworker was going away to the police academy in Jacksonville we made him a sick sub at closing on his last day. We went to the Bakery and got him a french bread pan loaf (the really wide and long loaves). Cut up 3 Lbs of London Broil roast beef and sauted on the grill with butter, green peppers, onions, and mushrooms. Each co-worker chose a slice of cheese, two slices of each. I think the cheese were chipotle gouda, swiss, american yellow, smoked gouda (yikes), horseradish cheddar, and white NY cheddar and we added that to the philly. Canoed the loaf (tore out inside leaving only the 'shell') and put philly inside. Next we got twelve publix chicken tenders and diced them up, and shook them in a bag with buffalo sauce, ranch, and blue cheese crumbles. Layered that onto the sandwich as well. Next came onion rings and potato wedges, followed by some fried shrimp from seafood. We wrapped the sandwich super tight and sealed it with xanthum gum, then dipped in in tampura batter and deep fried it. After it came out, we diced it like a sushi roll, and drizzled buffalo sauce and ranch over it in a zig zag. It was one of the most amazing things I had ever tasted. Most of us were surprised it stayed together, but that french loaf had just crunchy and hard enough outer crust to make it work. By far the best pub sub I've ever had.

Besides that insane sub, my go-to while at work was the everroast chicken with bacon and gourmaise sauce. I loved the chicken tender sub but if I ate one of those at work I would have gone to sleep lmao. Usually ate those on my days off. That deli on Alafaya was amazing. The store had heart. Once they tore it down and moved to the new one I jumped ship; it just wasn't the same.

That's an interesting comparison considering at publix you can get boars head which is 100% muscle meat, whereas at wawa their meat is upwards of 30% Superabsorbent polymers (the stuff in diapers that helps absorb liquid)

That's BS since Boar's Head is brand, you can ask for that at any supermarket and it's the same, it's not some supermarket brand. You're comparing apples to oranges there.
For a good comparison you'd have to compare both of the store brands if they have those.

Not wrapped up in sandwich paper. By 'wrapped' I mean we took both sandwich bread openings/ends (whatever you want to call them, the flaps if you will) and really made them reach eachother and wrapped it tight so nothing could fall out and then sealed that with xanthem gum so it wouldn't come undone when we dipped it in batter and fried it. It's hard to explain. But it did happen. I have a picture of it on my old ass flip phone from the time, I have the flip phone just no way to charge it and retrieve the photo. Believe it or not it's a true story. I could name that entire daily first and last names.
