Just eat meat and drink water. It's not that complicated. You don't need excessive keys when you only have so many locks. Everyone I have ever known on keto has been fat and stayed fat. Meanwhile anyone I know who has lost a significant amount of weight has done so by eating "normal" diet in reasonable portion sizes, and following an appropriate exercise routine. Fitness and losing weight is not so confusing, but it's just not easy.

Keto to me is recognizing you are fat and need to change something, but taking the easy way out. The proof is in my anecdotal pudding. Keto doesn't work. You are what you eat. If you eat mostly fat, you will be fat until you exercise and balance your diet.

CICO and exercise focused on burning calories (running, cycling, swimming) must be the foundation for any weight loss program.

B) The ketogenic diet in particular is notorious for being poorly tolerated with very high dropout rates in studies even when the subjects in question have serious problems like epilepsy or diabetes that the diet is helping with.
Part of this issue depends on how much your personal interpretation of a "keto diet" is actually comparable to the real ketogenic diet used in the past for controlling epilepsy / diabetes. There's good reason to suspect most people without serious medical problems who claim to be doing "keto diets" aren't doing the same rigorously controlled diet as epileptics and diabetics of those studies try to do, in which case compliance wouldn't be as much of a concern because you weren't even complying with the real thing to begin with.
