most vegans will say meat tastes good but they don't eat it for moral reasons so it makes sense that they'd try to find a substitute. fried cauliflower tastes good but it's not a good substitute for chicken. the only thing that comes close is textured vegetable protein since it's the only thing really high in protein without a ton of starch like most other plant proteins, and i'm not sure how healthy it is to be eating all the time.

Cauliflower are a good substitute for tacos though. Yeah the whole “it’s like meat but worse” meme is fucking horrible. Just change your diet or don’t. You can’t be a vegan and consume what you once consumed.

Because nuggets arent a cut of meat and can literally be made with anything. Id understand if you tried to use steak or ribs as an example, but mushed balls of food taste good in dipping sauces, so why do you care if someone makes nuggets with cauliflower?

It's really weird how you retards can't understand perceived ethical motivations like not wanting to support industrial animal slaughter have nothing to do with what you *want* to eat. And if imitation meat dishes don't do a good job imitating meat, that's not an argument against wanting meat replication, it's an argument for more work to be done in developing better meat replication. If anything vegans eating food meant to reproduce the meat experience is way more honest than refusing to eat anything resembling meat in an effort to prove meat was never good in the first place. The first kind of vegan isn't pretending meat is somehow not enjoyable, unlike the second kind who goes around claiming there's no reason to want it. You anons are more like the second kind of vegan for insisting ethics and taste must be conveniently connected and that you either approve of slaughter practices and like meat or else disapprove and don't like meat. If I were a vegan for ethical reasons I wouldn't want to start eating a bunch of vegetable-centric dishes, I would want whatever the closest thing is to the meat based food I currently eat.
