What kind of sandwiches do you make to bring to work? I make decent money and usually just eat out at casual places but with rising minimum wage ($16 in Seattle now), you can't get a basic lunch for >$10 anymore. Enough is enough. Going to start packing my lunch most days. What are some god tier sandwiches I can make that I will actually enjoy eating and keep me from feeling like a poverty tier wageslave?

Taco Bell is my favorite <$10 food destination. I highly recommend the 5 layer burrito, grilled, with 2-3 packs of fire sauce (per burrito).

I actually do this for dinners pretty frequently. I'll make a big chili or curry on Sunday night, eat leftovers on Monday and then freeze the rest for another night when I don't have time to cook. I don't take dinner leftovers to work though because my wife is home with our newborn baby and toddler these days so I try to leave stuff that they can eat during the day without having to cook.

Shaved Turkey with white cheddar, lettuce, tomato, and sometimes bacon if I have any leftover. Usually it's either miracle whip or horseradish sauce as my spread.

I don't even take lunch to work anymore to be honest. I prefer eating a fuckhuge breakfast in the morning that keeps me fueled till dinner. I only have a coffee during lunchtime at work.
