my japanese gf went to texas to visit a friend for two weeks recently and claims she was unable to take a dump for the whole two weeks due to the food.

is this normal for americans? I thought it would be impossible for anyone.

It's soft and kind of pasty. Soft enough to spread of crackers.
It's taste is kind of synthetic cheddar with a hint of sweetness, if I can remember correctly.

It melts easily which is probably the only reason it's popular

We're used to it. And it's not universal as plenty of Americans do get enough fiber where some get next to none

Either that's really high-quality grassfed butter, or it's shitty colored margarine. That intense yellow color makes me think of the bagged stuff from way back when where you'd have to mix in the dye yourself.

Probably margarine.
I'm seriously the only American I know who actually uses butter. Everyone else uses shit like country crock or blue bonet

I dated a black girl for a while in college. She actively didn't understand that there was a difference. I ask her to get butter, she comes back with something called "imperial" I am like what the fuck that's not butter. showed her the ingredients and she's still like "who cares lol"

Americans don't eat that much fat compared to places in Europe. Americans consume more sugar and more in general, just not as much fat.

It could've been the oilfield runoff into the water supply and irrigation for local produce, though that should give you the opposite effect.

Try asking for whipped butter. The weird thing is that every store carries real butter, including tubs of whipped butter. Someone is using butter somewhere (probably immigrants)
Oh, and when I tell people I don't refrigerate my butter they lose their shit. They cannot fathom a stick of pure butter being out of the fridge for a week.

We're out here. There must be dozens of us!

For me, it's unsalted for cooking (learned that one the hard way!) and kept in the fridge. Salted for spreading, kept on the counter.

She probably ate a shitload of meat via barbecue. I'm guessing she usually doesn't eat that much meat on a daily basis. She should probably stay the fuck away from Argentina while she's at it since you can go weeks there without seeing a vegetable.

Buttered rice is because of Africans. In rice growing regions of Western Africa ideally the rice does not stick and each individual grain of rice moves freely.

I hated rice growing up because my family would mix it with margarine or salted butter and it to this day tastes like trash to me.
