Living on all carbs will be damaging eventually. He needs to throw in some canned meat, or go asian and consume eggs with pasta or rice. You can consume rice, beans, chorizo, eggs, and milk together to make it through bad times and it's dirt goddamn cheap for insane calories and protein.

Not him but that’s how you calculate food costs properly. The trick is leaving little to no waste. Buy perishable goods for three days use maximum and resupply when you run out. I always make myself two portions of food for dinner. One I eat immediately and the other I eat for the next days lunch. My French bread pizza was made from almost 100% left over things from the chicken parmesan I made the night before with the exception of a few pieces of pepperoni. Tomorrow i’ll have the rest of the chicken parmesan for lunch and I’ll even have pasta left over to make carbonara on Thursday. The extra pork chop with rice and peas I made tonight i’ll have for dinner tomorrow. 100% money efficiency and I’m eating like a king. I spent a grand total of $6 to eat three great meals today

My favorite is black beans and rice. It can be seasoned really well without fresh herbs. and it's also a great dish to modify. I'm usually adding tomatos, onions, and peppers to it if they're cheap enough. Buying frozen chicken breasts is another good way to add. Just pan sear the chicken in spices, cut up, and add to the rice while its cooking.

Anon. I've been to the most ghetto neighbourhoods in an effort to shop as cheap as possible, but even those got gradually more expensive. And taxes on food went up this year.

T.eurofag

>> No.11970320

>>11970307
Those ghetto neighborhoods have only, what Americans call "convenience stores", where the selection is small, volumes are small, packaging is small, hence you pay more for the same shit compared to a megamarket where one needs a car to get in.

Even if it says supermarket and sits on its own lot, those would hardly qualify as "minimart".

Now, depending how ghetto you choose, the cheaper rent can surely offset slightly larger food expense but personally I find the limited selection, specially not having bread that is not "breakfast loaf" a major inconvenience.

Well, if you don't have a superstore within say 10km, there may be better chance of having shit.

I used to live in siberia level rural area and comparing my local convenience market to roughtly same sized store in that little town and the difference is night and day. They actually have small amounts of everything in their tightly packed shelves compared to long rows of the same I have here, because in the little town the demand is there.

Sure, the prices are 30% higher, but one can get a liveable shask for a song there.

Its unlikely that would be a problem, since any other outlet within range of a short cord is going to be on the same circuit anyway. It would be an issue if the hot wire was routed to neutral or ground, but then it would be the fault of the cord.
The actual issue is when one end is plugged in, and the other end is exposed. You have an open pronged stun gun at that point. It could also easily short out against anything conductive. Also, two males together is officially gay.

Mine is rice with sardines (RIga Gold SPrats ideally) and some soy sauce/sweet thai chili sauce. Garnish with green onion.

Alternatively I do pizzas on naan bread, but sometimes naan is overpriced here I just have to get lucky.

And eggs, tons of eggs. eggs is cheap.

I have never been budget constrained to the point of struggling to feed myself. I have never lived in a time or place where rationing was necessary. I have never experienced food shortages or famine.

With eggs, bacon, pinto beans, and tortillas, I could eat 3 square meals forever. Bacon isn't cheap but it's doing double duty: eat the bacon after you render the fat out and use that to cook the other stuff.

ARE YOU ME? This is my dinner 90% of the time.

1 Cup rice
1/2 Can of diced tomatoes
Frozen veggies
1 bouillon cube
Sometimes I add a bit of ham and/or some fruits (pineapple, pears, peaches, apricots etc.)

On the weekends I make homemade pizza which is just white flour, water, yeast, diced tomatoes, ham etc.

Can of beans in tomato sauce, mixed with a half cup of prepared brown rice, and a bit of yogurt stirred in at the end. Other than too much salt, it's a well balanced meal that costs a bit over $1.

Lots of fibre, decent amount of protein, and tastes great.

Jesus Christ, some of the posts in this thread.
A good portion of you are just idiots who can't cook and are apparently too stupid to learn how to.

Roast a chicken - whole chicken run about $7.00 - 8.00 , will feed you for at least four meals. Sprinkle liberally with salt, bake at 425 in oven for 11 - 13 min per lbs.

Boil Bones in water add salt make broth - freeze it.

Save pan drippings cook 1tbls with 1 tbls of flour and 1 cup of milk, broth, or even water - make gravy - freeze it.

Blanch Liver and Kidneys and either fry or use in gravy.

Spend 5.00 more on carrots and peas, fresh ones you mongoloids, make soup with the stock or broth you made and left over meat from carcass.

If you have flour make gravy, if you have butter make home made pie crust for chicken pot pie.

There, a week or more of dinners for about $15.00 - $20.00. Imagine that.

If you have a little more pick up sage, thyme, and rosemary.

Garlic cups at Dominoes are 25 cents per IIRC 300 calories. It's one of the best dollars to calorie ratio I ever seen. Pop a few of those in the morning and evening and you're golden. Chicken and veggies and shit cost money, like $4 probably per day. That's pretty expensive compared to what you can get by with on less.

But your money is worth twice as less as American money, so you get twice as more to compensate. Your $11/two pounds actually is closer to $5/two pounds, which is $2.50/pound and that's close to the $2/pound in the US.

Guzzoline is a base, then governments such as the EU put a VAT on it, it's so high that you're not meant to see it in order to deal with their social engineering. So when you compare prices you have to include things such as that.
