what am I supposed to with this? its super salty, sweet, dry. has a slight fishyness to its after taste.

There are two types of Chinese jerky. The one you have is the sweet one, which is shit. The good one is this Mongolian one which is very hard and you eat it by peeling individual fibres.

There's a really good place in Manhattan/China Town that makes really good beef jerky, check it out if you get around there. Some stores sell that boxed stuff but I think that's mostly for fancy gifts or something but if you want the good stuff fresh off a grill go to this place on Elizabeth St. north of Canal.
