From my guy friends, the females mostly cook better. And it's because they don't spend money on stupid shit they can't justify purchasing. Men who think they are good cooks go and buy duck fat and expensive fish and try to make quail egg omelette to impress.

Girls just buy... like lentils. Like I've never seen a guy go and buy something as simple as lentils, or chickpeas (unless he's vegan or into bodybuilding). Men go stupid with their cooking and need discipline. They either do too much, or they become lazy and don't focus. Women generally don't take bigger risks and stick to the recipe, they also pay more attention to timing, heat, etc. They don't feel the need to not stick to the recipe, thinking that they know better. Also, they are generally a lot cleaner.

We don't teach the very basics of living to men and women nowadays. We teach them how to be good little data entry machines, typing in useless data into databases because someone wants to evaluate how many milliseconds someone stays on their website. We should be teaching, in high school, the basics of cooking, cleaning, home care, car maintenance, computer maintenance, investing, and money management. And the fact that we don't is why the man-child lifestyle has become so prevalent - we've raised an entire generation of adults who pray the answer to their questions is on Google or YouTube.

22 here, I actually had a cooking class elective everybody loved and wanted to be in in my highschool, actually had a bunch of stoves and personal cooking counters for like 8 groups of 4. Most hilarious fucking thing was tho, in like 6 of the 8 groups of people nearly every single fucking week no matter how simple the recipe was the guys did stuff like cleaning the counters and washing the dishes and just let the girls cook because they didn't want to fucking bother. Teacher didn't really care to switch it up either
