Alright so i did some researching and apparently it was banned from being shipped to Canada for a while and apparently there was a major lawsuit on these products due to large quantities of lead and cadmium (don't know if i spelt that right) and people would drink these three times a day since it is suppose to be a replacement dietary supplement but due to the lead levels it would be taking in 75 percent of lead intake which causes the known side effects from lead poisoning. So my question is this, what are the real actual side effects of consuming these today? Memes and jokes aside i really would like a proper and functional theead discussion to go as to include the actual ingredients and the actual effects one would recieve from this product.

I read about parts about how it lowers males testosterones, causes baldness and early hair receding, thyroid issues and so on but these lists have just been accusations and not been backed by researched evidence so i come here hoping to get some of your input and actual logical conclusions on the health effects and supplements in these products. I know it comes from beans but what else does it have in them?

It's made of Soy
Doctors still prescribe menopausal women who are not making enough estrogen Soy beverages to balance their hormonal deficit
The effects on men who drink large quantities of Soy for long periods of time, especially during puberty, are pretty obvious to anyone with eyes
Combined with Post-Modernism, feminism, veganism etc, the resulting person is a relatively new kind and does not readily fit into either male nor female categories

>Soy contains isoflavones, which are plant-based compounds containing a weak plant oestrogen called phytoestrogen. These phytoestrogens bind to oestrogen receptors in the body and work like a weak form of oestrogen.

>Women not taking hormone replacement therapy are often advised to eat soy-rich foods such as tofu to help reduce menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes, flushing, and night sweats because they contain high levels of isoflavones, a substance that mimics estrogen.

Soy products: Some doctors have suggested that phytoestrogens (estrogen-like substances from certain plant sources, such as soy products) may be safer than the estrogens used in PHT.

>Some women have found that alternative therapies provide some benefit in reducing menopausal symptoms. These include natural hormones, St. Johns Wort and soy based phyto-oestrogens.

In every controlled study it's the same as placebo for menopausal women, so they have been using it as placebo.

>Studies provided 32-200 mg/d of isoflavones and generally showed decreased midcycle plasma gonadotropins and trends toward increased menstrual cycle length and decreased blood concentrations of estradiol, progesterone and sex hormone-binding globulin. A few studies also showed decreased urinary estrogens and increased ratios of urinary 2-(OH) to 16alpha-(OH) and 2-(OH) to 4-(OH) estrogens.

They were already a speedrunner, so they were already ... unique. The actual estrogen pills feminized them. At worst, Soylent's absence of various phytonutrients may have exacerbated repetitive stress injuries.

Soylent did not contain soy until 2016.

Also convenient how you left out the actual shit pertaining to men

>Only three intervention studies reported hormonal effects of soy isoflavones in men. These recent studies in men consuming soyfoods or supplements containing 40--70 mg/d of soy isoflavones showed few effects on plasma hormones or semen quality. These data do not support concerns about effects on reproductive hormones and semen quality.

Milk has actual estrogen. It's a growth hormone, and that's what milk is for, gaining hundreds of pounds fast. Multis aren't very effective because they're formulated to not be excessive on top of a balanced diet, and nutrient isolates often have different or opposite effects outside the context of the foods in which they normally occur. There is no effortless way to eat optimally. You need variety.

Anyone seen that Motherboard vid of the guy trying to go for a month on only soylent? Guy just became miserable with it by the 15th day. I don't know man this shit just seems sketchy. Not too mention since it's not technically food the FDA doesn't have to inspect it.
