Sponges are okay for cleaning porcelain or something, not for dishes.

I use a dish rag that I change out after it's 2 uses or if it's a day old.

I use an sos pad if I'm not fucking around.

It's integrated into the stove, getting rid of it would be inconvenient, but they seem to want to get rid of them anyways.

If you like how spays disperse you can just buy an oil spray diffuser thing and put oil in it. I had one for years that I bought off Kohls, but it died. There are probably better ones out there, but it was still less than $10, so it's not that big of a deal to buy on every 3-5 years. At least then you are using the exact oil that you want with nothing added, and it's way cheaper than blowing through premade cans of spray oil.

I have one of these.

The neatest part is that you can check inside your fridge without opening it because there's three cameras inside. I haven't tried it yet, but I think you can actually check the inside using your phone. Apart from that and the fact that you can change the bottom two sections between refrigerator/freezer modes, that shit wasn't worth $5000. This would've been cool in 2007 when phones weren't embedded onto everyone's hands.

No idea why this is a boomer essential, though. Wouldn't Boomers want a simpler, less expensive appliance?

No, 'pana' comes from the Latin 'pan', meaning 'all' (e.g. pansexual, Pangea, panacea). It refers to their sound systems, which are their main product.

Also, the company wasn't officially called 'Panasonic' until 2008. They changed their original name to fit their international brand name.

Many newer microwaves, especially on the cheaper end, use annoying beepers now, probably because the chip is cheaper than a mechanical bell.

If your stove is dirty, then you can clean it. Razor blade is good. They also make dedicated cleaners for that purpose.

If the markings on your stove are actually worn away then you cannot do anything to bring them back.

Spoons not boomer enough. My grandma and aunt has these circular spoons that are extremely awkward to maneuver past your teeth, and they're only used for soups. It's like a perfect circle attached to a metal bar, like a bite-sized frying pan.

My mother bought one ages ago. I think that it was as old as I am. It died about 2 years ago though. I miss that noisy bugger.

don't drop shit on the knob parts? touch buttons are annoying if you have to press 1-10 times to set the value you actually want, not sure if modern ones have better systems

Well it's different for everyone, but I find them to be intuitive. I worked in a kitchen as a young lad (just a simple kitchen hand, nothing fancy), and those gas stoves were annoying to clean. Yes, you get to manipulate the pan a bit over the fire, but Id happily trade that in for less maintenance. If I wanted to use fire, Id use the bbq.

Before I entered pre-school, my parents used to run a pub together. After we gave that up and moved we kept the gastronomy-class microwave. The thing only had a turn dial and two buttons. One for starting and one for stopping/opening the door. It was powerful. Can't remember having to go more than 1 or 2 minutes for anything. Drew so much power, that it knocked out a fuse 2 out of 5 times.

They do have a line of appliances in the Euroland, I have a Siemens washing mashine for example. No idea where they are made these days, they aren't even terribly high end even like their industrial stuff if.

If you hate buttons, buy a Stainless “Commercial” microwave, like the kind meant for convenience store customers and employer break rooms.
The “Commercial” microwaves have far less buttons, and might be more durable.
You can even purchase ones with a knob.
