Why does the online sourdough community so packed full of assholes, autists, and asshole autists? Even the notoriously autistic kitchen knife forums aren't this bad.

I cant really help you there but the only reason i have never looked into baking was because it always reminded me of the only other guy i knew that was into baking, and he was a huge insufferable cunt. He was the type of guy that rubbed you the wrong way and you never found out what it was until he let out in unnoticeable bursts that he truly thinks hes better than you, and he feels sorry for you.

Certain types of recipes, techniques and equipment attract their own fanatics and turbo autists. Knives, pans, steak and sourdough sound like hotspots.

No one really argues about how to cook say, mushrooms or carrots. So yea I’m trying to understand

This is what /ck/ was like when it was half decent, except that the last line would have been, "Thanks for sharing, it was entertaining as fuck watching this absolute train wreck of a thread. If you don't eat a bullet like you deserve you should come back and post your second (failed) attempt. Cheers!"

1) Not my video, 2) The guy in video definitely does not have poor skill especially for a home baker.

Wow, that bread looked like complete dogshit. If only he followed Robertson's techniques of keeping a smooth taut surface and slashing the bread in a manner that was conducive to good oven spring.

bread autists are fascinating tho, it's funny seeing how obsessed they are with crumb, crumbbb, cruuuummmbbbb, like damn just eat the bread.

It happens here too but I guess that's expected.

Why do all autists rub their fingers together like this guy does at the end of the video? They always hold the knife wrong and cut things awkwardly too

The cronch and fluff is necessary for the good bread.
