Yes. Jews are just a religion/ethnic group that went through a wide and long diaspora and had a bit of a talent for banking in some of the nations they ended up in. Some are good some are bad, same as all other groups. The last time I took my family to a place like this (my mother is a Jewaboo since she grew up in a place with no Jews and thinks they are like an exotic animal), the tab came out to something like $140 for 4 people. Hardly cheap. Yes it was a lot of food but I think perhaps you have erroneously assumed that a sandwich like that costs similar to what an Arby's sandwich costs.

In the 1800s they had a tax on bread at restaurants but not meat. So the clever jewish deli owners started selling sandwiches with more meat. You are supposed to take that sandwich home and make 3-4 sandwiches out of it
