Wasn't going to make a thread about this because we have this alt-meat thread EVERY fucking day. How many veggies here don't like the idea or over relying on imitation meat or these store bought alternatives in their diets. One of the major reasons I started to distance myself away from them is the amount of sodium that are in these products, it's insane.

Also, if you want a beef mince substitute then textured vegetable protein mixed with some spices is far superior to anything else

Considering most pet foods that dont use meat use TVP, yes it is like pet food.
