I had a 2 meal beef heart dinner. Beef heart steaks marinated in wine and burnt rosemary and with blue cheese sauce and a beef heart and onion stew. Both bretty good.

I eat blood sausage almost daily bc anemia and is great, also liver.

Honorable mention to liver for being basically a multivitamin in meat form, though the mineral taste can be a bit much. Soaking it in lemon or turning it into pate help.

Woodpeckers are not well educated and lack a theory of mind. They can't perceive the birds of another species as beings like themselves. Also, liver is quite tasty and dirt cheap, a really nice choice on occasion. Chicken hearts are okay in a stew instead of chunks of meat, IMO somewhat inferior but not by much.
