Absolutely not, because it removes why I eat meat. As a normal human, I am sad when I kill an animal and do it respectfully, but I do it because I am the superior organism and am entitled to do it simply because I am able to. After the killing, I proceed to use every portion of the creature to its fullest barring some undesirable things. This is to be happy and aware of the fact that I am a part of nature. you’re making a lot of leaps right now. One of the main goals of lab meat is to look as close to real meat as possible, so why would they veer so far to the left and go “fuck all this effort we made to make this lab shit look like meat, let’s just start making dog food now”?

I would be happy to eat lab grown meat if:
>It's cheaper than authentic meat.
>They've done enough studies to make me confident it's healthy or no less unhealthy than conventional factory farming.
I would be fucking gung ho for skirt steak that costs 2.99 a pound or filet mignon that costs the same or 5.99 a pound lobster or crab. I'd love to see that actually because crab is so inordinately expensive.

Figure it's clear what's going to happen:
>At first lab grown meat (past the ground beef stage) is super prestigious, high society and cutting edge elite. Expensive, not absurdly so by the time it reaches the commercial market but not cheaper than regular meat.
>Once it becomes as cheap or cheaper than regular meat you will have a shift with the affluent snubbing it and seeking authentic organic meat. But so will more rural folks who have the opportunity/means/tradition of hunting themselves or locally produced meat.
