Yes, actually. "Double" loosely means double the hops and double the malts, but doubling the malts will provide an actual backbone while doubling the hops will typically just slightly raise the IBU, which means a double is going to be a lot more balanced than a lot of singles that are very hop forward. Doubles are my favorite style because of the balance between flavor and drinkability; I love a good triple and the occasional quad, but they're more for sipping.
