In kindergarten they sometimes gave us a square sausage pizza for breakfast.
Probably my first favorite food. Sometimes I taste something that kind of reminds me of that and it's like I'm traveling back in time.

We had this stuff called John Wayne Casserole before the cafeteria got subbed out to some bullshit company.

A base of corn meal and cheddar cheese, a layer of taco seasoned beef, sour cream, more cheese, and jalapeños.


God. It was divine. A complete colo-rectal nightmare, but it was worth it.

My school's hot lunches were good, but for some reason nothing sticks out to me. Everyone was always excited on days that we had something with fries or they'd hold a BBQ/grill out on the lawn. I hated the stuffed shells that one time we had for 3 weeks due to some purchasing error. We had a sandwich station, soup station, and salad station, so I would have those a lot.
