Ramsey is a TV personality, not a chef. He hasn't been a chef in like 15 years.

It's funny how you pretend those have to be mutually exclusive. This is probably just your cope for making minimum wage flipping burgers while Gordon bathes in swimming pools of money and cooks the world's finest dishes

I mean a chef is a worker. gordon owns the means of production for like 15 restaurants.

Hey, don't get me wrong. I like Gordon Ramsey, and he is great at being a vibrant television personality. The fact of the matter though, is he isn't much of a chef and overall doesn't give a shit about the quality the food he cooks. If you notice, his cooking videos never follow complicated recipes, but instead straightforward dishes that take 30 minutes to make at most. He also doesn't spend much time cooking at all, he judges and evaluates other people's cooking.

Being a talented chef requires consistent practice, so no, if Ramsey hasn't been a chef in 15 years his skills have certainly declined.

Usually once a chef reaches the executive or head position they really no longer cook. They're still skilled and do cook but not as much as line chefs do. In fact they really don't cook at the restaurants they work at and basically just make sure the food isn't shit. Ramsay still cooks quite a bit as well and is currently making online courses for people.

What kind of fucking chef spends more than half an hour making anything? His food is pretty uninspired, but he's a perfectionist and has tons of energy. I think you're confusing the words chef and cook. Being a chef is a lot more than just cooking elaborate meals.

>His foods uninspired!
The man has more Michelin stars than you have cocks in your ass. What can you do that's so much better and more "inspired" than him? You live off of microwave meals and call an actual success "uninspired". Just because he moved on to television doesn't change the fact that he's one of the world's elite chefs, and was so before he got tv famous.
I bet you hate on old man Marco just because he's a knorr salesman now, as if that discredits his culinary accomplishments.
Speaking as a chef, this shit is a young man's game. The work is long and hard and tears your body apart fast. If I could get out of the restaurant and have a comfy cooking show or judge some shitty cooking gameshow or anything like that, I'd do it in a heartbeat. If you actually cooked in the big leagues, you'd be saying the same exact thing. The goal is to at least be a restaurant owner, be successful with that restaurant enough that you could hire a chef to replace you and still be successful, and then open another restaurant and so on until you don't even need to go into the kitchen and still make money. Ramsay did that and then started getting that sweet sweet tv money.

>Michelin stars
Bitch, it's been proven for years that cuisine quality in relation to price and amount, is actually much better at 1 to 2 stars. Ramsay has only 3 star joints. It's not BAD cuisine, but it's way too overpriced and too elitist for what they're offering. It's small-ass portions for way too much money, is what I'm saying. If you wish to get top tier restaurant dishes AND decently sized portions which you can actually EAT and be SATISFIED WITH as a person that came to EAT because he's/she's HUNGRY, while not overpaying for that, then go only to 1 and 2 star places. Gordon's 3 stars are literally only for hype and elitism, and ads.

Why do people think that a man who hasn't worked in a restaurant in 15 years can still cook to a high standard? He used to be top tier, but he no longer is and that's hardly surprising when you spend half your time doing shitty TV shows. Skills degrade, eating trends change. No one eats fucking beef wellington anymore in a restaurant unless they're a boomer.

lol "still cook to a high standard"

if you do anything for 20+ years to the degree which he has you don't just 'degrade' into a shit tier chef
