The joke is everything I buy that is for airfryers is fucking soaked in oil and so fries end up more greasy than frying them.

Wait, they don't sell food specifically for air "fryers", do they?

Not really. I bought a small one because it was on sale and I had heard things about them. If you toss frozen breaded items (nugs, french fries, tots, etc) in they'll.still.come out oily because they're produced with a lot of oil. I have chopped up frozen chicken fillets and toasted those up, was tasty and fairly healthy. I'm sure there are lots of healthy recipes out there utilizing them, but I prefer to roast or grill my veggies anyhow.

With all that said, it reheats old Chinese food to like-fresh status magically.

What other obvious fortunes are waiting to be made in the kitchen tech industry?

It's a tiny oven that can circulate air around the actual food product instead of circulating it around the food in a pan, making crispy foods much crispier.
It's really good for stuff like french fries, tater tots, chicken tendies, it takes frozen snack foods to a whole new level.

This is what my brother in law does now, it comes out tasting like a giant chicken wing. Meat is juicy at least but it's nowhere near as good as baked in my opinion.

I have one that can get up to 500f and isn't made with teflon
it's nice being able to cook small cuts of red meat in an apartment where I cant grill

any of you have an air fryer?

do you still use it after 1 month?

>> No.13213637

A brine is liquid based. You can't have a dry brine, that's simply an oxymoron.

i use it to make roasted potatoes all the time.
anything youd roast in oven comes out better in air fryer.
i have a kid so its easy to throw shit in there because kids have shit taste and eat shit food.

>> No.13213692

>>13213570
Yeah I mostly use it for potato french fries or beet chips. Made nuggs and fried chicken a few times. Faster and crisper than making them in my oven.
