I heard people eat with their eyes first and that seems to make sense.

So I was thinking, during xmas if I'm entertaining guests, can I make my food better via liberal use of food coloring?

Like, will making the food more vivid by making the water blue-er, the chicken red-er, the greens green-er, mac and cheese yellow-er make for a tastier meal? Are there safe dyes that are organic or something that I can use?

Why doesn't everyone do this already?

This actually works on normies. If you make homemade cherry pie, for instance, it'll be some brownish-reddy sludge. They are expecting neon red canned bullshit. Feel free to blast it with red food coloring and give the people what they want.

Because safe and organic dyes have flavor.
And the unsafe ones are generally, well, unsafe.
Just make your food and make it well.

beets provide an excellent red food coloring. blueberries are very strong in color and can provide you with a deeper blueish water. Turmeric provides you a neon-ish yellow/orange depending on how much you use. if you go with turmeric I highly suggest you use the root because the powder isn't as strong in terms of dye as the root is. best of luck.

People don't eat with their eyes. NPCs do.

Everyone does, but NPCs are looking for artificial colors etc. If you aren't retarded you are looking for something else.

Either your food is good and people are gonna eat it or your food is shit and nobody is gonna want it. Coloring things is appealing to children but if you’re inviting adult-children into your house you’re the true retard.

It's not about color. If it's all normal color, that's fine; idiot's eat with their eyes in that the food isn't ugly mush and looks presentable. It's like the difference between a harder cock and a semi when the fat sacks on the chest have more fat and there's more make up on the face vs small fat sacks and natural face.

>water blue-er
No, water isn't supposed to be blue
>chicken red-er
No, chicken isn't supposed to be red, wtf are you doing
>greens green-er
Just get decent-quality greens, what the fuck man, good fresh spinach or kale are as deep a green as you could want
>mac and cheese yellow-er
This one might be acceptable. Kraft Mac & Cheese uses annatto as a natural coloring, try that. I'm not familiar using it as an ingredient so taste it first, but that should give you the color you want

Anyway yeah people "eat with their eyes," but they want food that looks the way it's supposed to look, if it's unnatural it's off-putting. If you want colorful meals, pick high-quality colorful ingredients that go well together. Cook something with beets if you want a deep red, make a fresh green salad for something green, red cabbage for purple, make chicken w/ turmeric for a bright yellow color, etc

Liberalism is never the answer.

Your theory is sound, but in practice you should just use big white plates and serve small portions. It's much less effort and makes the food look better.
