The whole point of videos like this is to create a controversy to get people talking about it and KFC. Advertising started doing this shit in the 80s, where they'd make commercials that had nothing to do with the product but would get people talking. However, I'm not sure how effective it is in this case. I think they were banking on a lot of people to go "love is love" and defend this from the bully trolls like they did with that interracial Cheerios Super Bowl commercial. Difference is, that commercial featured a cute little girl and a nice family. There wasn't some nerdy looking ginger guy getting cuckolded and belittled and embarrassed. This commercial went a bit too nasty with its message, hence the negative reaction. On the flip side, I don't know if the negative reaction will have much of an effect on KFC. Guess we'll see.
Point is, the idea that major corporations have liberal agendas isn't entirely true. They want money, and are willing to exploit liberal politics to make money. If they think making a commercial feature a tranny getting his dick chopped off will sell hotdogs, they'll make that commercial.
