If I have chicken wings at lunch, I will go out to the parking lot and make a neat little pile of the bones under one of the trees that surrounds it. Especially in winter.
Squirrels need the bones for minerals and tooth maintenance. They are going to dig them out of the dumpster anyway, may as well make it easier on them.
