What can I cook as an absolute beginner? I can make eggs on my pan but that's it.

Roast a chicken. Preheat oven to 450, put chicken in oven safe pan, salt and season chicken however you like, roast for 45-60min.

You could heat up other things in your pan until they look good. Like onion, garlic, bits of meat, paprika, or potatoes.

Eggs is a great start. If you can cook stuff in a pan you're doing good. Now try doing something like a really simple spaghetti Bolognese. It's basically just frying some meat in a pan until it's brown, then once you have that, turn down the heat a little, add sliced onions and chopped tomatoes, and cook some pasta in a saucepan for up to 10 minutes.

If you can do egg you're into something good, you can bake them, microwave them, fry them, boil them, or poach them. Try making a mushroom omelette with spinach if you like eggs, imo those two ingredients accompany egg really well.

Thanks for the suggestions lads. I think my next attempt will be the spaghetti like the poster in the last post suggested. Eggs are based but it can't be the only food I eat.

i genuinely don’t believe people when they say they don’t know how to cook
aside from knowing to put oil in the pan, cooking is intuitive
a monkey could figure out how to cook if you gave him a stove, a pan, a utensil, and refrigerator full of ingredients

Stream that monkey, if you are so great. People would pay money to watch that. Acquire a monkey and have people donate money on stream. 100 bucks decide which ingredients we throw into the enclosure next.

But that's absolute beginner cooking? Also you don't just get a fridge full of ingredients to experiment. Most often you're trying to work on a budget.
