Recipe: Any stew recipe.
Tracking: Go to a a place with a rabbit population and look with your fucking eyes
Hunting: Point shotgun and shoot.

If you can't work this shit out for yourself you will probably end up shooting yourself in the leg by mistake. fuck you're an idiot

I never understood that myself, also shooting birds with shotguns, it seems like the people doing that would spend a hell of a lot of time picking out the shotgun pellets from the targets instead of just using a rifle with good targeting then there's only one thing to pick out. I guess you have to do it real fast as well to prevent the shot of whatever kind from polluting the meat.

Yeah, that makes sense, blasting it to smiterines with a shotgun makes no sense at all.

Shotguns arent only what you see in the movies.

For example there exists "bird shot" thats really tiny pellets and not alot of gunpowder at all. Causes less damage to the prey and more of a "shock"

Much better choice compared to a rifle or even a trap, if youre not checking the trap several times a day.

You mong, use a rifle. 22. or something small like that. A shotgun fills the meat with bb's and it's a pain. Aim for the head as to not ruin the meat. As for cooking it op, red wine stew with a lighter red... Shiraz and other heavier wines will take away the game flavour

Do you have any good spices to recommend? I’ve never had rabbit before. I would assume just add the normal sort of spices? Are there any that pair good with rabbit?

just use a livetrap
rabbits aren't particularly smart and I don't want you coming back complaining about how you need tips on how to cook your neighbours cat you caught in a snare.
honestly though from the sounds of it you're a beginner so you'd be better off just buying one at the grocery store, a lot more meat on them too.
They usually come spatchcocked without the head
after you've managed to do one decently you could progress to catching, gutting, skinning, and butchering yourself, it's a wild rabbit so expect some parasites.
I can't advise you on how to cook the head, thats more of a chinese specialty, but most of the organs are edible, likely including the bowels, but I won't judge you if you don't want to eat the pellet machine.

blueberry sauces pair well

I prefer pairing it with lighter herbs like sage, majoram and thyme. I have a French style stew in a cookbook at home but I'm out. Look up "French style rabbit stew" online and find one that looks appealing to you.

Maybe you have shitty targetting skills, a quail is a very small bird and blasting it with shotgun proves nothing and wont provide food.

I’m a beginner in trapping and snaring, but I’ve been killing wild game most of my life, but I want to try without firearms. Currently I have certifications in food handling and safety, but my main aims to this is catching one, dressing it. I’m just looking for the best ways to catch one, without harm to animal and best recipes to make it happen.
