To answer your question OP I have been to weinerscnitzel too many times to count. It has been my favorite fast food place since childhood. I would recommend grabbing their chili lovers promotional combo when available. It comes with a chili cheese dog, chili cheese fries, chili chesse burger, and soda for 5.99. Usually getting them all costs around 11 dollars so it is a solid deal the few times a year they run it. I also occasionally grab their jalapeño poppers but they are the exact same as Carls Jr's. As they don't carry Coke I like grabbing root beer to wash it all down. Also their chili dog is the best part, next the fries, then the burger.

Occasionally their topped fries specials are ok, but ask for light everything. Currently they have some thousand island sauteed onion fries, for example if I was drunk enough to order this I would just say “light on everything, less toppings amount please”, yes this is redundant but nobody works there because they’re great at English or actually any language for that matter. I used to do a traveling thing for a meat company. They had chicken burgers, beef burgers and hot dogs. It was a small company with one location in my province but it was basically butcher store quality meat that you get at the grocery store. My job was to go around with a trailer and set up at music festivals/beaches/block parties etc and give the food out for free as a marketing thing. The one side of the trailer would open right up and it was basically like a food truck and we had music and and shit blasting. It was pretty cool. Anyway, the hot dogs were phenomenal but no one ever wanted one because they looked weird. They were hand packed so the casings on them were all different. They looked more like farmers market pepperettes or something. Some old have bulges in some spots and the tips weren't round but pointed. For this reason people wouldn't order them. Weinerschnitzel is such a pain in the ass. It always looks and sounds great, but then you've suddenly spent a ridiculous amount of money on one for the effort, and this is coming from a guy who won't make his own cheeseburgers.

It's not filling, and it almost always makes me puke. They used to have a 5 for $5 deal, which was just fine for what I expect from the place.

A $2 chili dog is ridiculous when I can get two burgers for about the same price, with cheese, and such.

I’m from Baton Rouge and there’s one just north of campus. Do NOT eat if you are sober. It is very cheap, and the curly fries are the only thing worth of note. If you are hammered/sloshed/wasted, wee-schnitz is the ambrosia of the pantheon. You cannot go wrong. After a long night in tigerland, you’d get a combo from sneaux chicken or nacho mamas, and walk while hootin, hollerin and snackin all the way to weinerschnitzel or cane’s then take your haul back to your dorm and wake up the next day with xenomorph blood coming out of both holes
