Anyone suffer from appetite loss after going vegan? By the time I had been vegan for a month, I was struggling to put away even 600 calories per day without feeling nauseatingly stuffed. Vegan cooking felt more like some sort of ungalmorous science to me. I was eating everything out of packets and it all had this plasticky flavour and was generally a depressing and inferior facsimile of meat (not to mention it fucked me up and I kept getting ill).

The only reason you notice "substituting" is that it's only a substitute when it's a substitute.
