Not to be that person but servers (where I work, I don’t know about anywhere else) most of the time will eat food that’s going to get thrown away.

Sounds based. Just throw the rejected meat on the back of the grill and maybe fry it later.

???

why wouldn't they send it back if it wasn't the way they asked for it? You'd send back food if it was raw, right? so why is it strange to complain about overcooked food?

This literally never happens. No matter how I ask for my steak (medium or medium well), they end up cooking it medium rare anyways.

Chef here, I hope that if you are sending my food back that you like eating poop, boogers, cum, pee, random cleaning chemicals and rancid garbage juice.
This goes for people who don't tip at least %100 and also for those who do not show respect and subservience to me and my team.

>some bozo who can only get hired to cook is going to risk his only source of income to so mildly fuck with one of hundreds of customers each night every night for his whole career
I worked with people who used to be cooks, and most of them wouldn't piss on a server if they were on fire. Why would one risk his career and reputation because one loser gave him a mild inconvenience?

People that send back food are doing the restaurant a favour. They are giving it a second chance.

I never send food back. I just do what the majority of people do when served something unsatisfactory: not going back to that place and talk bad about it.

This is correct. I used to work at an Outback Steakhouse and can confirm that food that was sent back was fucked with. Also, I can confirm that 100% of the time if you enter a restaurant 10 minutes before it closes you are gauranteed to eat poop in some form or another.
