My favourite when I was a kid was sweetpea risotto. In fact, I just made and ate some for dinner just now. Is sweetpea risotto also a children's food?
Other favourites from childhood: tail and vegetable soup with pasta, carrot bisque, roast lamb with eggy peas, rabbit in tomato mushroom sauce with pasta, pork chops with lemon, rosemary, black pepper and red chilli, lentils with chnöpfli and smoked sausages, eggs in spinach sauce and others. Children's foods, too?

A lot of these foods I specifically listed I wouldn't have touched as a child due to my picky ways, yet I would eat pasta with a tomato and meat sauce (aka bolognese). It's just making a comparison and thinking about what even is and isn't considered "children's food".
