Put the seasoning satchet in the water before you put the noodles in

Crack an egg straight in and cook it for 2 minutes. Take the noodles out after 3 minutes instead of 4 for a slightly chewier consistency.
My mum also adds herbs and diced taters sometimes.

Onions, cook up some bacon on the side or if you want to be lazy just get some lunch meat and heat it up in pan, tomatos are also a good choice.

Drop an egg in it. Add a slice of cheese. Add green onion. Add pork. All of the above for best results. I prefer to add the egg at the last mi ute then take it off the heat and stir it up so it's more than egg drop soup than having a large chunk of 2 minutes boiled egg in there like the other anon suggested. Also if you can find shin ramyun black its infinitely better.

My method has been
>crack an egg into a separate container and beat it
>boil noodles like normal (3 minutes)
>strain noodles
>fry noodles in a pan, length determinedby how crispy you want them or not, take the seasoning packet and use it to season the noodles while frying
>take the beaten egg and pour it onto the noodles, stir it around for about a minute
>take out of pan and enjoy
Green onions and pork are also good additions, and a lil bit of soy sauce too.

This and those packets really benefit from the addition of meat and vegetables. Otherwise, they end up feeling kind of empty.

Either use half the seasoning and sub other non-spicy flavorings or make a bigger dish out of it with veggies and stuff while using the whole packet, diluting the spice and also using other seasonings.

They're nice with one or two poached eggs.
