This year I have gained 62 pounds from binge eating (am 200 pounds now at 5’10) and I just rejected treatment from the only binge specific treatment center that would accept me.

How do I cure addiction to food???

Cut out all processed sugar (only eat sugar if it has high fibre, e.g. berries)

200 lbs at 5'10 is pretty self-manageable if you calorie count and work out 3-5 days a week. Then again, you gained 62 pounds in under a year so idk what fuck is wrong with you.

do something drastic. move to a new city. have sex. food is a release valve because you're stagnating and don't have anything happening in your life. t former binge eater

I’m not a virgin (just a schizoid so I have no interest in having sex again) and I don’t have the financial resources to move. I’m in a different city across the country right now (had to go to that facility I mentioned) and I still binge eat in my hotel room

figure out what food is standing in for. love, mental stimulation, a sense of control. you won't be able to quit binging until you bring your life into balance. alternatively, you can just find another less harmful vice. nicotine helped me

so w-w-w-wait. You went all the way to a differnt city across the country for treatment on your binge eating. Once arriving there you turned it down, and now your back at it only asking a COOKING board on 4chan what you can do to help yourself? Tell me if this is correct....

How long was the course, do you still live at home, and why did you turn it down?

>> No.14434316

>>14434291
Yes you are correct.

The average stay there is 30 days. I live at home, yes.

I rejected treatment for a couple of reasons, but mainly because I’m a schizoid and couldn’t handle having zero privacy in the facility, having to talk with people, and the other BED patients being (just trying to be honest even though it’s harsh) physically repulsive to me.

It takes an excess input of 3500 calories to gain one pound. This means you need to eat 3500 more calories than you burn to gain 1 pound of weight.

62 pounds gained = 217,000 excess calories input than you burned.

In the span of 7 to 8 months, that means you have consumed on average 27,125 - 31,000 more calories than you have burned for every month this year. That averages to 6,028 - 6,888 excess calories a week, which means you are consuming 861 - 984 excess calories a day, which is the amount above how much you burn at basal metabolic rate + any exercise. I am going to assume you don't exercise for the sake of this post.

If you started at 138 lbs and ended at 200 in the span of 7 to 8 months, that's an average of 7.75 - 8.86 pounds gained a month. If we assume your weight went up in equal amounts at an average of 8.31 pounds, you are a 25 year old male, and you didn't exercise, than that means we can calculate your daily total calorie consummation per month.

Month 1: 138 lbs daily BMR = 1,617 + avg excess calorie intake = 2,478 - 2,601 calories a day
Month 2: 146.31 lbs BMR = 1,655 + excess calorie intake = 2,516 - 2,639 calories a day
Month 3: 154.62 lbs BMR = 1,693 + excess calorie intake = 2,554 - 2,677 calories a day
Month 4: 162.93 lbs BMR = 1,730 + excess calorie intake = 2,591 - 2,714 calories a day
Month 5: 171.24 lbs BMR = 1,768 + excess calorie intake = 2,629 - 2,752 calories a day
Month 6: 179.55 lbs BMR = 1,806 + excess calorie intake = 2,667 - 2,790 calories a day
Month 7: 187.86 lbs BMR = 1,843 + excess calorie intake = 2,704 - 2,827 calories a day
Month 8: 196.17 lbs BMR = 1,881 + excess calorie intake = 2,742 - 2,865 calories a day

This is using averages and assumptions, but the bottomline OP is that you are eating anywhere between 2,500 - 3,000 calories a day on average and not exercising, and if you are exercising you are consuming more than that a day. Just thought it might help if you saw the numbers.

People learn how to be a worse addict in these facilities, from purging, sneaking, other recklessness, to whatever psycho things are wrong with them just getting worse. Patients share the tricks with each other. It isn't the only solution...

For now, you have more than 1 thing wrong and a lot on your mind. A facility could have the ability to start you on a smart diet, enforce the diet during a time you withdraw and say start on an Atkins and get off the sugar crashes, fix some insulin issues and monitor your health, and hold your hand past a bit of time where you can start to feel you can take over from there and continue some good habits.

You can not put that fork down, or bag closed, or whatever you will eventually be doing to overhaul your nutritional training, since you're obviously to order food into your hotel room that doesn't have food in it until feel well. Start with just feeling a bit better, popping out of bed in the morning, getting a great night's sleep. Start with an antidepressant KNOWN to have a appetite killing side effect...Paxil.

I have found in myself that nothing made me more hungry than sugar or simple carbs, especially mixed with fat, these are the priotity thing to take away from a fatass. Eat ONLY unprocessed meat, eggs, cheese, liver and small oily fish with a lot of butter/lard as energy. Preferably only with sodium/potassium salt mix as the only addition. It's almost impossible to overeat this, even better, it may be even hard to reach maintenance calories. Eat once a day to satiety, no drinking calories, no sugar. This is the most effective weight loss strategy: it promotes the burning of fat, provides actual nutrients, removes hunger and with time food addiction. Because the foods aren't disgusting & empty like whatever lowfatters stuff themselves with, it's very easy to adhere to.

I did it in steps: 1 got rid of sugar and bread & pasta, started eating only in a time window, already begun to lose weight, 2 removed most carbohydrates and omad, lost even more weight, visceral fat disapeared, 3 removed most vegetables because these only cause constipation and bloating for me, both conditions resolved.

Brain fog lifted up just by removing most sugar, no more prediabetic food comas after eating, no longer obese, no longer I have to eat multiple bowls of empty carbs to feel satiated, that only stuffed my stomach to max capacity. This is so easy, only a retard would miss the opportunity of completely automatic solution, all it takes is the willpower to change

You need to realize that you're not missing out on anything important by choosing to eat healthy foods instead of fatty foods and junk food. I was in a similar place as you once. It was difficult for me to change my eating habits because I believed the food i ate was a source of happiness to me and that was something I didn't want to give up. However, as i remained consistent with my diet I came to understand that food is just food and the association between happiness and junk food is fake. You can be just as happy eating healthy food as you can be eating junk food. It takes time and it won't be easy to change your eating habits but you will learn that happiness does not come from certain foods and it feels better to be healthy than to indulge.

Listen here you FAT fuck. Start eating one meal per day. Whatever fits on your plate for dinner, eat that. I don't care if you are hungry or want something else. Push through the first two weeks of it without weighing yourself and without breaking like a weakling little pussy with no self control. After those two weeks go weigh yourself. If you aren't motivated by the results you were destined to become a fat loser human blimp. Otherwise, enjoy your new eating pattern, it will keep you from being a fat faggot.

To add to this start a fast and give it a few days. Once you're done eat just a small meal. It'll be straight up Hell for you but you will shrink your stomach and kick start your metabolism to help things further down the way.
If youre also looking for legit, non bullshit supplements google the ECA stack. It helps immensely with food cravings and increases your body temperature.

Embrace being a fat bastard like I did. Any women, particularly women of Southeast Asian and Hispanic descent are into bigger men and will enjoy the fact that they can eat “bad” foods with you without feeling guilty. My Flip-American wife and I are very happy together eating fried chicken, pizza, and chili almost every day.

Have a water fast one full day a week, i gained like 40 lbs since last summer cuz i kinda gave up on life but just doing the one fast feels like I'm accomplishing something and gives me energy to go out jogging and not get a six pack and gigantic takeout order every night like i had been doing in the winter, and committing to one day a week is easier than the other fasting strategies and makes omad easier.

As someone who was once 5'11 and 205 pounds, it's manageable. You don't need to go to a clinic or some shit. I lost 30 in the past 3 months or so, cut out processed sugars like soda and candy.

Start running, measure in kilometers as km makes me at least feel more accomplished. 5ks are pretty based, take like 30-40 minutes and kickstart your metabolism. Eat salads with Italian dressing or really any dressing that isn't thick, creamy and white like ranch or Bleu cheese.

Not as bad as you think. I used to be over 340 but now I'm down to 315 since May. Boy what I wouldn't give to be 200. All it really takes to lose weight is eating less than you burn without excercising.

But to drop below 200 is gonna take some effort imo. Definitely try cooking at home more if you don't already do that, and just eat what tastes good and know isnt unhealthy. You dont have to sacrifice your entire diet because that's how you crash. Remember to enjoy life and that stressing over a slice of pizza or some bacon is gonna do more harm than good.

i think the best advice i could give is to download a calorie tracking app and just continue to eat normally as you do for a few days but log every single item truthfully. no need to diet yet--just see exactly what you're consuming on a daily basis.

once youve got that figured out, calculate the mean amount of calories you eat in a day and just eat less than that. obviously nutrition is more important here and what you eat should vary, but as far as baby steps go, just take that number and eat less than that every day.

the weight'll fly off and you won't even have to exercise.
