Mine was less than $300. You might as well just invest in a vitamix since it's the best on the market and you'll never need another blender again. One time cost

same wattage, reputable brand, design isnt quite as effective...
only $100

I'm happy with my buy.
Though if the vitamix 5200 was $150, i would definitely pay the extra $50 for it... But i'm not gonna pay 4x as much.

I already have a nutribullet, what do I need a bigger blender for?
What's the use? I also have an immersion blender for my sauces. Why do I need a big blender?

The nutribullet is junk... Just fyi.You paid 2x as much for the magic bullet for something thats maybe 10% better.(and its still at the point of being disposable)
I have the oster(>>14533930), a cheap magic bullet for ice-less smooties, and an old school braun immersion one that is legit a fucking tank... Made in Canada too, to give you an idea of the age. I use the versa the most for actual cooking though. Immersion blenders are great for doing rough blending in a pot, and amazing for making sauces if you have the right diameter cup... But id you need something creamy-smooth, a proper blender like a vitamix is so much better.

I made marinara sauce a few days ago, and it turned out great, but after using the immersion blender, i was still getting tiny chunks of carrot that didnt quite blend in well enough, and the occasional strip of onion skin that i guess wouldnt get pulled into the blades. With a proper counter top one, EVERYTHING gets blended in the vortex it creates.

>>14533973
I'm sorry I have the magic bullet not the nutribullet. I just get them confused.

I've never had trouble with my sauces, but I normally make creamy sauces in a pressure cooker and then blend it with the immersion. I've never had issues. Big blenders just seem like a pain to me. They take up so much space for not enough utility.

Are you fucking retarded? Broccoli, squash, tomato, etc etc; none of those soupsd are remotely appetizing if they're not blended smooth. Just because you're a cooking smoothbrain doesn't mean tons of would aren't better after blending

I'm not trying to shill for them but you are like so anti-consumption that it's blinding you to actually useful and valuable features of specific products. You buy a Vitamix once and then use it for 20 years because they warrant their parts for fucking ever. It's like how a rich dude guys a $150 pair of shoes that last a lifetime while you, a fucking chump, buy 8 $30 pairs of shoes in 10 years.

I'm a huge Oster fan I have a 20 year old one I bought from Costco that is still great. They have the best design for quick takedown and cleaning. I don't know about that model, but the vintage Vitamix 4000 I have blows the Oster away for blending and I am pretty sure it is less watts. I really like the forward and reverse feature too.

I wouldn't buy a new one though unless it came with a steel pitcher. Fuck plastic shit. My Oster was glass. I don't buy new shit anymore as a matter of fact.

Oster used to fit Mason jars. Not sure if their new fancy models still do.
