If I'm in a decent city I will seek out a bagel shop that slings some eggs, ham/bacon/cheese to put in a made fresh bagel.

If I have to do fast food, like I'm in an airport, it'll be a McGriddle or a Starbucks ciabatta-gouda-egg with sriracha. Probably I'd get a nicer pastry and capuccino over a chain choice unless time was the problem, of course, if possible. If it's slim pickens...I am okay with a cinnabon.

If I'm in an ethnic kind of neighborhood, I'll be sitting down to some chilaquiles, green, and with chicken or eggs, or a bowl of pho. I love to do an all alone shopping list, answer some emails, wake up slowly, in a breakfast serving noodle soup restaurant. On vacation, I love a smorebrod you can get for breakfast throughout Europe for the tourists from places I'm not. I'm just fine with egg salad, cold crisp veggies, cold cuts, all topping some thin and good breads.
