Since Italian cooking is popular and easy to make, it's much more likely to be bastardised.

Most cultures who would be equally insulted (like the Chinese) mostly don't speak English and thus can't complain. All the non-English speaking cultures that are good at English (like Scandinavians) have obscure culinary traditions that home cooks do not try out.

French food for example doesn't get raped very often because retards don't attempt it, even though a comparable amount of them speak English. If the Chinese spoke English they'd be equally mad.
