In short, a broth stained with dry chilies, served with hominy and some kind if meat. I am legally require to trow in the fact that originally it was a ritual recipe and used human meat, it was after the Spanish came that it started using pork, turkey or chicken. In baja we have varieties with octopus and shrimp too

I had posole for lunch. Good stuff. The Aztecs ate it with human flesh. When the conquistadors made them switch to pork, they said the taste didn't change lol.

Should I have taco bell for dinner? Or heat up some chicken patties in my toaster oven?

>> No.14746829

It's aztec cannibal stew. They use pork now, but the original recipe calls for the 3 strongest captured fighters of the year to have the honor of being dinner. Enjoy. I'm Irish, we did some cannibal shit also, but we didn't save our recipes.

I'm married to a beaner, she makes it with chicken. It's actually better than pork.

Pozole being made with human flesh is a meme. The Florentine Codex (the primary source people cite when they make the claim) never says that. The original pozole was just a porridge of hominy in broth, no human meat or any meat involved. Aztecs did eat their sacrifices but it was more a ceremonial thing than anything that called for a set recipe.
