i don't know man, this sort of seems like a pretty apolitical thing. the homopost seemed pretty standard for pr pieces, and entirely unrelated to the name/logo change.
the name change seems pretty logical for a brand wanting to stress their whole range of products.
the logo is a bit weird, to me it speaks more to this trend of abstract/symbolic/flat imagery commonly found in tech/apps going for a sort of "seamless user interface" if you get what i'm rambling about.

It's bizarre. Says he wanted to wear a dress instead of pants so he must've been transgender too. Lots of people throughout history wore robes and skirts and even today you can see people in the Middle East wearing something similar.
