OP, I have a lot of cabinetry for storage, so I pick up a few of these "snack trays" which are excellent for parties ever so often at goodwill and thrift stores. I probably have 50 now. The guests love them. These guys fit into the dishwasher, let people walk around with their food and hold their drink in the same hand right on top. They're from the 1940s-1960s, well made, and they even have a cigarette rest and possible that corner is for an ash tray as well. ROFL.

Made some wife+hubby kind of soup and sandwich nights back when a newlywed kind of meals in front of Buffy the Vampire Slayer nights. Then the Walking Dead nights. Later some Game of Thrones nights.
