I like the food of so many other countries as well as my own, why is the UK singled out so much for having bad food? What makes British food bad compared to other places? Unfortunately, so many people lack even basic cooking skills and they turn simple British fare into garbage by 1, not seasoning correctly, 2, not cooking it correctly and 3 by using shitty produce and incorrect cuts. I love Irish food. I was there visiting a friend and we visited his granny. She made us all sorts of stuff, some of it I can't remember the name but it was all lovely. Polish cuisine is pretty similar to German cuisine though. Especially because of Prussia and Silesia, where many grandparents are/came from. Many of the dishes from that parts are going to die out here though, because the youth doesn't appreciate those savory dishes anymore. Even stuff like buckwheat, a stable, is basically unknown in germany. It's more about the usage of sausages, pork roasts, cabbage, gelatine, gherkins, potatoes, dumplings and so on. Of course there are some differences, but when it comes to old fashioned dishes they're pretty similar. Much more than France, Denmark or Benelux.
